Melissa Fox-Revett, Manager/Proprietor
Melissa
has worked in the restaurant industry since she was a teenager.
From 2002 2007 Melissa was the proprietor of her first restaurant,
BOHO. A recovering tax lawyer, Melissa is writing a book about her
experiences in the legal and restaurant worlds, an excerpt of which
was recently published in the Ottawa Citizen. Melissa and her husband
Richard Fox-Revett, the chef/proprietor of The Monkey Bar, are the
parents of three well-fed children.
Julia Young, Chef/Proprietor
Julia
is a graduate of George Brown College. Before obtaining her Red
Seal certification, Julia travelled, worked and partied extensively
in Europe. Following her apprenticeship at Rain, Julia worked at
Prego della Piazza before joining the team at BOHO where she was
sous-chef until 2007. The long hours at Blue Plate make Julia appreciate
and adore her beautiful baby daughter, Poppy, all the more.
